This is my second Jensen DVD player. The first was the 9512 I bought 4 years ago. For what I paid that product worked like a champ. This one seems less capable in that it doesn't offer continuous music while changing source. Also doesn't play as well with iPods in that I have to touch my classic inorder to get it to reconnect when starting my car (annoying cause its in the glove box). Also have yet to find a parking brake bypass for video. They need to just install an open source standard OS on these things radios instead the custom poorly written software.Pros: Sound quality is up over older model. Nice visual display for iPod but miss seeing the song list.Cons: Same sluggish response to buttons. No side to side tilt (has the forward/back tilt).

I have had this unit in my car for a little over a month now and for the most part I’m happy with it.The sound quality is good or at least I don’t have any issues with it. I have it connected to my factory amp so volume is no problem.The Bluetooth works well. I pared it with my iPhone 5 once and it automatically reconnects every time I get in my car. It will switch from whatever source I’m listening to automatically when a call comes in. The sound quality is good and I have had no complaints from people on the other end.The screen has a nice picture, I have not watched much video on it but the parts of a movie I have seen looked good.Now for the things that are not so great but I can live with considering the price of the unit.When you connect your iPhone to the USB cable the head unit will ALWAYS automatically switch to that source. If you always stream content from your iPhone it is no problem, but if you just want to change your phone while you drive home it can be a little annoying.The flip up display is not consistent. I have a backup camera installed and wired to automatically switch to camera mode when I put the car in reverse. This part works perfectly but when I shift out of reverse sometimes the display closes and sometimes it doesn’t. I would expect that if the display was closed when I shift into reverse that it would close when I shift out of reverse and vice versa but that is not the case just sometimes it will close and sometimes it won’t…The only other problem I have had is with connecting to my iPhone, there have been 2 times where the stereo could not connect (via USB) to correct it I had to reboot my iPhone so not sure this is the stereos fault could very well be an issue with my iPhone 5.All in all I would recommend this head unit if you are not an audio junkie, it works extremely well considering the price point.
