1Not worth the price
By aarn120
I have had this product now for 8 months. My friend and I self-installed it, which took a good amount of time since neither of us are professionals. I paid $100 more than the current list price and I figured since I was already spending the money, I might as well get everything with it. Installation of the rear-view camera was simple and it works great and installation of the XM tuner wasn't too bad either. Installing the steering wheel controls was a little more complicated, but we figured it out. At first everything was working great and I thought I had an incredible system. Unlike some of the others, the interface never bothered me and the navigation system was pretty nice once you learn how to use it(it definitely is not as easy to use or learn like Garmin, which I had previously). The first few months, everything worked great, then slowly one by one things started to not work.-The DVD player worked great, but was the first to stop working. We put in a DVD and it either wouldn't play or would skip so much you couldn't watch anything anyways. This happened without excessive use, only a few times of watching DVDs.-The next thing to go wrong was the XM tuner. I started getting errors and it would stop working. I would re-start the system every so often and it would start working again. I did this for a few months until the tuner seemed to give out completely. I then went ahead and bought another tuner and it worked great for 2 months and has now gone out again with the same issue.-The bluetooth, after working great has now stopped working. It will show my phone connected, but when a call "connects" the screen just drops the call. What works great is video playback from the iPod and the quality of the CD player. As of now, those are the only redeeming qualities. I've learned that you just cannot get that many features in one package for so low a price and expect it to work. I would not recommend this system to anyone.

4Had bluetooth problems but seems it works now
By Hadder Rendon
Just so you know where I'm coming from with my opinion, I am a tech savvy guy with crafty installation experience, but I am not a professional.I bought this unit at a local Best Buy for $400 during black friday sales weekend. I thought the deal was great, considering the unit normally sold for $550. I did my own installation on a 98 Eclipse Spyder GS-T which had a decent factory Infinity Audio system that had nothing wrong with it, I just wanted a unit primarily for bluetooth audio (streaming and handsfree talking), but I liked the fact that it had a GPS on it.Anyways, I installed the unit and it came out looking very clean since my car has a stock double din (which means the hole where the radio goes is as big as the screen), I didn't have to make any mods which was nice. Here is the down and dirty, you make the assessment.GPS: NOT an intuitive system. I actually had to look at the manual to learn to use it pretty well. I'd recommend if you are getting this for the GPS, DON'T. The voice of the person is very computerized (unlike a Garmin). It mispronounces words often and puts emphasis on the wrong syllables which is annoying. The system looks antiquated and does not compare to the competition. The map is old (2009) and it won't get updated unless you pay a good amount. It will get you from point A to point B if you really need to but it may interrupt your song or radio A LOT. You can change some settings to prevent this, but I'd recommend just getting a separate GPS unit.USB port: A cool feature that allows you to play your iphone or ipod music and will display the picture of the album you are playing. It also charges your phone while connected. If you have a special jensen cable, you can even watch youtube videos or netflix on the jensen screen on the go. Probably one of the best features of the unit.SD card slot: A pretty handy feature that allows you to listen to mp3's stored on the card. You can watch videos too of certain format (see EB's comment below)Rear camera capability: Sounds like a good feature that some customers have taken advantage of, although I have no use for this and you have to buy a camera for it.Bluetooth streaming/handsfree: OK, so here is my biggest gripe. This was my number 1 reason why I bought the unit. I liked that I could stream Pandora and Netflix audio, as well as talk on the phone while driving through bluetooth audio. 2 Months after I bought the unit, it started to not work. I have an iPhone 3GS which was working perfectly fine with this unit. After it stopped working, I called Audiovox (which owns Jensen) and they kind of blamed it on the iPhone. They said that my iphone firmware may have caused the unit to stop working. I went and tried other devices, and it did the same thing. I'm going to try to contact Audiovox again and see if I get this resolved as my unit is still under warranty. I Googled the issue but no luck. It seems other customers have had similar issues so I see a trend.DVD Player: Plays DVD's well and I have had no problems with this feature. Easy to connect in a way that allows your passenger to watch DVD's while you're driving.Radio: standard radio. No problems.Screen: Very responsive touch screen. While some users have complained that the display graphics are antiquated, I have no complaints about that. I will say that when the sun hits the screen, the glare is bad so it's best if you have tinted windows.Overall I think this unit is decent. For the price, it is not bad but there is a reason why it was on clearance. I learned a lesson, sometimes it is nice to have several features into one unit, but sometimes it's best to keep them completely separate (GPS + DVD player). Frankly for the money, go with a different unit.

4Good Unit for the price. Does what I need.
By D. Wedemeyer
I bought this unit when it was on sale at BB. I had to replace my stock unit in my Jeep GC and REC nav radio. This has a added features that the stock radio did not so it is an upgrade no matter what. DVD, Ipod, Iphone integration and back up camera. ONly issue i have had is getting the XM to work correctly. It goes in and out and might be more of an installation error than a unit error. THe Bluetooth phone works well for making calls but the until has trouble with talk to dial. Maybe interference. It is handy to play your dl music from the Ipod and Iphone. I grounded the wire so that I can play DVDs while driving. Looking for a map update. $60 for a map update is half as much as a disc cost to update my old radio. Pleased with this product. I cant imagine all radios are flawless so I expected some bumps and some omissions due to the price. For $325, I thought it was a deal, even after you include the $300 additons needed to get it to work with the harness and XM attachments. An replacement REC radio would have cost me $700 to replace and I would have still had an outdated radio.
