5Video Review for the Jensen VM9414
By Dabman
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RR00GHXNMXMBC Here is my review for the Jensen VM9414 in dash GPS radio. I bought this item after buying a similar one on Ebay (no-name china brand) and having the China one break twice. I would HIGHLY recommend paying the extra money to buy from an American company with much better product quality. I actually bought a warrenty from squaretrade also, because of the problems I had with the China unit. So far everything is working great with this Jensen product. If you want a very good quality single din size GPS multimedia system look no further, this is the unit for you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

5Great for the money
By A. Colella
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RN4TQY2ET4DBO Jensen VM9414 Single DIN MultiMedia Receiver with 7-Inch Inch Flip Out Touch Screen, Integrated Navigation SystemFirst off, Wazingo is great. I was just emailing them about the status of my order on the second day because I am an impatient shopper. Well, they sent me an email stating that since this was the first purchase with them, they would upgrade my shipping to next day air. I didn't ask for it, nor was I mad when I sent the email. They just went above and beyond with their customer service. Secondly, I have owned a Jensen DVD player in the past so I was hesitant to order another one since I had problems with it. After watching the first video review, I was impressed. Well the 351.00 price tag helped too. I ordered it and got it super fast. There are a ton of features not described anywhere. Like the Multizone features. If you have multiple screens in the back, you can play those movies in the back, while you listen to the radio or do something else up front. The blue tooth BTM15 or BTM10 is necessary if you want Bluetooth capability. Mine has not arrived yet, so I will comment on that when I get it. It should be here today. The USB cord is great if you have a smart phone with lots of different music files to access like mine(HTC TP2). You can access the files as if it were a disk drive rather than play from the phone. The basic stereo functions are kind of nice too. The channels will display the title of the music station as well as the current song that is playing. Small details, but nice if you always forget the name of the songs like me. Also, if you don't like spending time searching for stations like me, it does all the work for you. You can even search by the kind of music you listen too, like rock or whatever. Similar to XM radio searches I think. I don't have the XM feature hooked up, nor will I. I had problems with the previous Jensen DVD in dash that I currently have in my other car, but this doesn't have those issues yet. I just had this installed, so I will keep everybody posted. My old In Dash DVD screen became unresponsive. This seems to be a better quality touch screen. As far as the DVD player playing while you are driving, it is easy to hook up. I wish I knew which wires grounded to what, but I don't. My brother, a car stereo installer, hooked it up for me. Finally, the navigation is not the greatest, in my opinion. I currently have a Magellan and the magellan is great. The VM9414 Navigation took me to a business sector when I selected Chipotle. There was no Chipotle in sight. I was really craving it too. I will give it the benefit of the doubt, especially since that was the first selection. Now that I think about it, I chose Wal-Mart next, and it took me the long way and told me to turn when it was right in front of me. I will keep everybody posted on the Navigation glitches. Overall, I am pleased with it. I plan on adding an Overhead Monitor and a back up camera to the unit. I shopped around town at the local Frys for the VM9414 and they were asking over 500.00 for the same unit. Make sure and buy the wiring kit for your car and BTM10 or BTM15. If this review will let me, I may add a video review later as well.Edited 10/19; After further experiencing my VM9414, I have found a few glitches that I have notated in my video review. Overall, I am still happy with the unit and hope that the small issues can be fixed.EDIT 10/21/10 - Since the video review I have contacted Jensen and they have resolved my issues. The TFT option is going to be fixed with a disk that they are sending me. The navigation issue was resolved with a new update that Horizon created after I had complained about the issue. You can find the update on HorizonNAV.com.

5Jensen VM9414 Review
By Quality Conscious
Jensen has been releasing flip screen decks for a few years now and it seems they have learned how to do it right. I have been using the unit for about a week now and am surprised with the overall quality of the unit. The unit is quite solidly built and does not feel cheep in any way. Controls and buttons also dont feel cheap at all. GPS software is decent, though a little slow on route recalculation (I think this a software issue) but nothing major. SD slot is very nice and has an internal slot cover to keep dust out (the details matter). The screen is bright and clear, and also has tilt controls to adjust the viewing angle. Menu navigation software is quite snappy, and also simple to use. Decent well organized menus but nothing fancy. Onscreen subwoofer controls is there also. Wiring and imput/output jacks are fully featured on the rear and decent quality. Had to ground the pink wire so I could use sd card, aux, usb without the emergency brake on. Sound quality is pretty good overall, my only real complaint would be that they should have implemented a 7-band equalizer for sound instead of the 3-band. Also you will want to download the gps update from horizonnav.com and contact Jensen for an update for the deck software. Jensen is supposedly sending me out a disk and I will post how that goes when I get it. I did buy the squaretrade 3-year warranty for this item just in case, but doubt if I will need to use it. Overall, this unit has all the bells and whistles for a rock bottom price to make this unit a great value. 4-stars: Reccommended=yes.[Edit: see comments for updated info.]
