3It works but need a few updates.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RO4L3JP38GHTR Bought it the 17 of March and arrived first week of April. Only to find out that this is coming from China. Installation is very easy for my 2006 Scion TC but there are some things that needs to be corrected on this unit. First is that Scion TC's console comes with a slide down cover and if you are on radio and try to close the cover it will hit the tuner button on the bottom right side and will reset all your preset radio stations. Second the console cover can not be closed flush to the dash because the head unit is raised by a few centimeters that prevents the console to cover to snap in place. Third is the Navigation software that came with the unit needs an update, only to find out that Route 66 doesn't support Navigate 7 because they discontinued this software already. And the map files are not the correct ones that prevents my navigation to calculate routes and needs to be reset. Thanks to third party files i manage to get it going, and it takes forever to get any update or replacement files from the retailer. Fourth the ipod software just blows it doesnt support ipod video. Plug in your ipod and will show you your play list, click a play list and it will automatically play a random song from that list, hit the playlist again and music will stop. It also emits a hissing sound when making a selection. touch screen is not the best but you will get used to it, i suggest you use the stylus that came with it, it's much easier when making your selection. Now the manual that came with it is so basic you to figure out for yourself the other features. If you need the reset password i guess you need to contact customer support. I tried the DVD player and it is good. TV needs an antenna to get a signal i guess and i dont know if it has a built in tuner. one thing you will need to complete this unit is a back up camera and you can find a cheap one online. You get what you paid for and the features and good enough to compete to those more expensive head units. I dont even know who made this unit lol i always tell them that it is designed for scion.
